Art N Soul on 101 in Encinitas is a gallery with a passion for social change, with 100 percent of store profits donated to area charities. Under the helm of Cindy Blumkin and Paige Perkins, volunteers, local artists, and customers unite to support a greater cause. On the gallery’s Web site, Blumkin explains: “The idea was to foster a very inviting art setting that would help artists promote their work and at the same time benefit community charities — this was the heart of our business model.” Blumkin also notes that Art N Soul is dedicated to the imaginative artists who make the store possible and who took a leap of faith when the gallery began.
